On Sunday afternoon, after team Czech R. had been knocked out of the tournament in Epinal, France, one of the cars driving back had an accident on a motorway near Jihlava, in the Czech Republic, and Zdenek "boss" Ambroz, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was killed as a result.

Team captain have to register his team before the 1st November at 12h00 (midday), the tournament begin at 13h00 (1:00pm).
Groups will be announced on our radio partner : Nerdvibes the 31 october at 21h00.

Shuttle service : Paris => EpinalNews written by the 17/09/2008 19:02 A shuttle service form Paris is set up for players with no car / no license, preferring not to drive after a tired weekend or wishing to save money on the price of the trip.
The return cost is 50€ (no one-way at 25€ for the moment). To pay, click on your profile on : Pay now.
The appointment for the departure is given to 5:15pm Friday October 31 to start at 17h40 Gare de Lyon parking opposite the Hotel Mercure. The bus will look like in the menu;)
The bus will leave Sunday evening around 4:00pm to arrive in Paris before the end of transport.
Some information:
- Check your profile to see if your seat is validated ( The payments are validated every Wednesday evening)
- Our society transport is LCJ: http://www.lcj78.com/
- It is forbidden to eat in the bus.
- You can put your stuff in the baggage hold, but we are not responsible for the theft / loss / break of your hardware.

DOD : Source - 8 slots addedNews written by the 25/08/2008 17:45 Given the number of pre-payments that we received for DOD: Source, we have a lot thinking about how we could satisfy the entire community.
We have reviewed the plans of the hall and tight all of this to open 8 additional slots!
Unfortunately we must make concessions, all these teams and more do not fall by magic (you can push the walls only once it is known) therefore we do not accept more than 5 players (plus manager without PC) by teams CSS and COD4, and 6 players (plus manager without a PC) for teams DODS. You can now reserve your seat in the bus and rent a monitor (17"/CRT/100Hz).

The MaxLAN pushes walls!News written by Raf the 01/08/2008 01:16 [UPDATE] As written in this news, rules of "first paid ,first validated" will apply, even if you are on the waiting list.
Following this first stage of pre-registration few details over the event.
• First, the communities enthusiasm will be rewarded by an increase in not one but two tournaments!
 Counter-Strike : Source slot number increases to 32 slots (so 8 more) and  Day of Defeat : Source tournament reaches 24 teams (8 more slots as well).
• Pre-payments are now open, the entry fee is fixed at 30€ for each player in primary tournaments and 15€ for secondary tournaments. Given the number of teams expected, the planning might be tight, only one tournament per player will be allowed(regardless of whether this is a tournament principal or secondary) but "2nd chance tournament" will be organized for eliminated teams.

• Team validation will occur when 3 players (for team of 5) or 4 players (for team of 6) will have paid. The first having paid will be the first validated, the postmark as proof. Validated teams lists will be update every Wednesday evening.
• For more comfort, a bus shuttle leaving Paris on Friday, October 31 at 7pm and returning on Sunday at 10pm will be set up. The trip will cost 50 €, you can now book your tickets by sending the payment with your registration.
• The screens will surely be to rent for 15 €, we are still looking for a way to store them pending LAN. More details comming soon, stay tuned.
And now the best for the end : the cash money repartition, witch increases to 10.000€. Hardware prizes will be announced later :

After months (who said years?) MaxLAN is back! LANA-France is now working on organizing this event which, we hope will live up to your expectations!
First, here is the site dedicated to MaxLAN 2008, the registration for the competitions are already open, the module pre-payment will open later.
